As salt and light in a rotten and dark world, Christians are to live in righteousness, upholding the law of God with integrity and intentionality. In this way, others will see their good works and glorify the Father in heaven. Next Jesus shockingly demonstrates the level of righteousness kingdom citizens are to have, and it’s an unattainable standard. Jesus gives 6 illustrations for how to live according to God’s holy standard, and this standard surpasses the level of even the religious leaders of the day.
