Key Passage: Matthew 6:7-18 Background Jesus’ sermon on the mount continues into Matthew 6 and the structure shifts. In Matthew 6, Jesus warns the crowd/disciples to beware of practicing their righteousness before others to be seen by them. Jesus teaches the disciples how to pray with right heart attitudes.
